Greater Allegheny junior Francisco Del Rio has been named this week's PSUAC Student-Athlete of the Week for baseball as a hitter. The junior noted a grand slam homerun in the 17-6 overthrow of Penn State Hazleton, this week. Greater Allegheny was leading 13-4 before the four run hit, giving the Lions a little more breathing room.

Through six games on the week, Del Rio connected on 12-of-24 from the plate for an overall batting average of .500. The catcher noted three doubles, one homerun and 11 runs batted in.

On the field, Francisco took part in 16 putouts with two assists.
