Senior Spotlight: Aubree Yates, Penn State Fayette

Welcome to our Senior Spotlight. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the PSUAC had to cancel its spring sport seasons. This prevented several student-athletes from receiving a proper senior day and minimized opportunities for Player of the Week awards. What has been your favorite memory while participating in athletics at your campus?

I will never forget winning the conference division my sophomore year against Beaver and all the memories I have being a part of the Big 3 with Casey and Chanel.

What advice do you have for your younger teammates or recruits that are looking at coming to Penn State Fayette?

The advice I have for my team is to never give up. We Are stronger than this and can make it through anything. To the recruits, you are entering not only a great program at Fayette, but also a family. I wish you all the very best!

Are there teammates, coaches or family members you would like to thank for having a positive impact on your playing career?

My teammates have been like family to me, and I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for them. We pushed each other to be the best we could be, and I am so sad we didn’t get to accomplish our goals this year. The last 4 years playing college softball have been some of the best and most difficult times in my life, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
