Senior Spotlight: Eddie Caufield, Penn State Brandywine

Welcome to our Senior Spotlight. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the PSUAC had to cancel its spring sport seasons. This prevented several student-athletes from receiving a proper senior day and minimized opportunities for Player of the Week awards. In its place, we will highlight seniors from around the conference throughout the remainder of the semester. Penn State Brandywine rolls on with Eddie Caufield!

Q&A

My favorite memory was when I made an appearance on my Senior Night.  My high school coaches, my high school team along with my brother who plays for the team, and family and friends all came to watch the game.  It was the biggest honor I could receive.

My advice to younger teammates or recruits would be to put in the effort because it is a very special thing to be a part of the PSU Brandywine Baseball team, it really makes you feel you are part of the whole Penn State experience.

I have so many people to thank at Penn State Brandywine that have made an impact on my life and my experience at Penn State Brandywine.  Absolutely everyone in the offices guided me throughout all of my years.   They were all always supportive and always kind.  I have made life- long friends on and off the baseball team and I want to thank them as well for making my experience so enjoyable.  I also want to thank every single teammate in all my years on the baseball team.  Every single player along the way has supported me, included me, and made me feel a part of the big picture.   A special thank you to the Athletic Director, Bobbi Caprice, who was one of the first people that I met before I even started at PS Brandywine.  From that moment on she was a guiding force through the years and not just baseball related.  The person that had the biggest impact on my life throughout my time at Penn State Brandywine is Coach Vin.  I want to thank him for his support, guidance, and friendship.  He has always gone out of his way to make me feel a part of this team and to make each year a special and unique experience.  Thank you Coach Vin for all you have done for me, I just can’t thank you enough.
