Beaver senior guard Morgan Kurtz has been named this week's PSUAC Student-Athlete of the Week for women's basketball. The senior guard broke the 1,500 point mark for her career as a Lion, alongside closing in on the second all-time leading scorer in a Penn State Beaver uniform. Morgan recorded 23 points against Penn State Wilkes-Barre before shattering the school’s single game record with 36 points against Penn State Worthington-Scranton.
With 70 points, ten rebounds, ten steals and four assists, Kurtz assisted her team improving to 11-9 overall and 8-1 in the PSUAC.
Kurtz is holding down 3rd in the PSUAC and 4th in the USCAA for three-point percentage with 39.2%. She is also residing in 1st in the PSUAC, 2nd in the USCAA for free-throws with 101-137 completed as well as 4th in the PSUAC for points per game with 16.8.
With her tremendous milestones, Morgan has also been named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Division II Player of the Week for her efforts. Click here to view the complete article.
