Lady Lions sweep Fayette in PSUAC play

In game one, the Lady Lions overcame 2-0 deficit, scoring all 4 of their runs in the bottom of the 1st. Jena Leffler led off the inning with a single and stole second, Kirsten Wentzel doubled driving in Leffler. Wentzel would score on a single by Tia Lyons tying the game at 2-2. But Schuylkill was not finished yet. Kelsey Brendle single moving Lyons to third. Lyons was picked off allowing Brendle to advance to second. An error by the Fayette shortstop on a hard hit ball by Bryanna Snowell allowed Brendle to advance to third and kept the offense rolling. After a single by Kelsey Kenney scoring Brendle, Snowell would score on a passed ball, reaching the final tally of 4-2. Snowell would make the margin standup striking out 8 and only 3 Fayette batters to reach base the rest of the way.

In game two, Schuylkill would strike for 11 runs on 11 hits including a bases lclearing double by freshman Tiffany Frantz in the bottom of the sixth to reach the final of 11-3.
