Women’s Volleyball: Lady Wildcats Commit 38 errors in Loss to PSU Hazleton
HAZLETON, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women's volleyball team committed 38 errors on its way to a 3-0 loss to Penn State Hazleton Thursday. The Lady Wildcats lost 25-19, 25-13, 25-18 despite leading in the first and third sets. Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) led with 14 kills and added seven digs to the mix. With the loss, the team now drops to 4-9 overall and 3-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
As a team, Penn College totaled 21 kills but had 20 attack errors additionally.
Also for the Lady Wildcats, freshman Cathleen Aviles (Robesonia) had 15 assists and senior Rachel Heller (Allison Park) had 15 digs.
Previously this season, Penn College defeated Penn State Hazleton in straight sets.
Next up, Penn College travels to Lycoming College for a tournament starting on Friday, Sept. 26.
